About Dr. Koren
Michael Koren, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist serving the communities in and around Cambridge and Arlington Massachusetts, at Brighter Life Therapy, PLLC. He specializes in helping adults who have anxiety, depression, and a history of trauma. Dr. Koren takes a particular interest in working with United States military veterans.
Therapeutic approaches
In his practice, Dr. Koren draws on a variety of evidence-based therapeutic methods, including cognitive-behavioral therapy. In personalized psychotherapy sessions, he helps clients explore and resolve the underlying issues that affect their mental health. He also teaches mindfulness and coping strategies to help clients overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Education and training
Dr. Koren has always had a passion for psychology and helping people overcome emotional and mental health challenges. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He went on to graduate with a Master of Arts in Psychology from New York University in New York City.
Dr. Koren earned his Doctor of Psychology at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He completed his clinical internship at the Veterans Association outpatient clinic in Columbus, Ohio, and prestigious postdoctoral fellowship training at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates in Boston, Massachusetts.
Personal life
Outside of his practice, Dr. Koren enjoys spending time with his wife and their son, watching college basketball, hiking, and photography.
